The Recital and Other Stuff

Tonight was the big recital where my student Gillian played 2 piano solo pieces and 1 duet with me, Alexandra played 2 piano solos and a 12 bar blues improv duet with me, and I played 1 organ solo. In addition to this there were 5 other students, it was a very nice recital. I, unfortunately, did not play my piece as well as I had in practice, but that often happens when nerves come in to play. But I always enjoy performing and it was fun.

I also realized I never posted the photos from Alex's last karate test. Her next test will be from gold belt to green belt. So here are some pics of her getting her last stripes:

I know that I usually post a quote from Scripture, but I really liked this quote. Maybe I should be producing more and consuming less -- and maybe that's why I enjoy scrapbooking so much -- I produce. hhmmmmm Blessings.
